Challenge
Database backups ran on many servers with separate scripts, making it hard to confirm that every backup succeeded and was stored in the right place.
- No visibility into daily backup status
- Backup failures were only discovered when a restore was needed
- Configuration scattered across many servers
Solution
We built DBM (Database Backup Manager) with an agent on every server, management of sources and storage destinations, scheduled backup plans, and a job status dashboard (succeeded, failed, running, queued).
The infrastructure team can now see the full backup history and act on failures from a single screen.
